What this page is

The Climate Record is an independent, non‑commercial project that pulls public climate data into one page: near‑real‑time temperature and air quality from Open‑Meteo, satellite imagery from NASA GIBS, and long‑run context on ocean and ice trends drawn from figures published by the IPCC, NASA, Copernicus, and NSIDC.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any of those organizations. Where this page shows a modeled or illustrative figure rather than a direct feed — such as the ice-trend readouts — that is stated next to the number.

Why it exists

Most climate dashboards either bury the numbers in scientific reports or oversimplify them into a single scary headline. This project tries to sit in between: real sources, plainly labeled, with enough context to read the numbers correctly.
